EXTENDING THE ORGANIZATION-SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT-



Assalamualaikum and hoyeeehhh! :)

Supply chain involve of all parties directly or indirectly. The SCM involve the mgt of info flows between and among stages in a supply chain to maximize total supply chain effectiveness and profitability.

The typical supply chains are the upstream is for manufacturers, suppliers and supplier’s supplier and for downstream are retailer, customer and customer’s customer.

In a company, there is five basic supply chain management components that are plan, source, make, deliver and return.. All of this basic supply related with each others to manage all the resources and information or data.

The factors that driving supply chain management are visibility, consumer behavior, competition and speed. They will only extend the software so that all the department can use the same system during do the work.
To succeed in the market today the companies must align their supply chain with the demands of the market they serve. Five keys that can make the SCM succeed are make the sale to suppliers, wean employees off traditional business practices, ensure the SCM  system supports the organizational goals, deploy in incremental phases and measure and communicate success and be future oriented.

Basically what I learn from this chapter is how the companies utilize all the supply chain management and make it success. Very easy.. hahaha
