 Assalamualaikum and hoyeeehh! :)

This chapter is about IT roles and responsibilities. I quite love this chapter because for me it is easy to understand.hehe..Most organization in this world maintain the positions like chief executive officer (CEO), chief financial officer (CFO), chief operation officer (COO) and other.

CIO :: The chief Information officer is very important person than others. They responsible for overseeing all uses of IT and ensure the strategic alignment of IT with business goals and objectives. The CIO will report all the things directly to the CEO. The broad function includes manager, leader and communicator.
As manager they must make sure the delivery of all IT projects is on time and on budget. For being a leader, they also must make sure the strategic vision of IT is line with the strategic vision of the organization. They also are being as communicator that advocate and communicate the IT strategy by building and maintaining strong executive relationship. They also a middle man with the customer. They enhance customer satisfaction for any specific aspects of IT.

CTO :: Chief technology officer (CTO) responsible for ensure the throughput, speed, accuracy, availability and reliability of an organization technology. CTO has similar responsibilities with CIO but they more focus on effectiveness of IT system. So they have well knowledge about all aspects of IT system and hardware and software.

CSO :: The CSO is responsible for ensure the security system of IT system with develop strategies and IT safeguards against attack from hackers and viruses. The role of CSO becomes larger because the number of attack from hackers and viruses are also larger. They have well knowledge about network and telecommunication because the hacker and viruses attacks from the network.

CPO :: Chief privacy officer is responsible for ensure the ethical and legal use of info within an organization. CPO is the newest senior exec position in IT. Many CPO are lawyers by training, that enabling them to understand the often complex legal issues surrounding the use of info.

CKO :: Chief knowledge officer (CKO)  is responsible for collecting, maintaining and distributing the organizational knowledge. They design programs and systems that make it easy for people to reuse the knowledge. The CKO must make sure they continuously encourage employee contributions to keep the system up to date.

This chapter also said bout ethics which is the principle and standards that guide our behavior towards other people.

For me, I understand bout this chapter maybe because I do the revision for the test 1. If not, I will only state about the function without any elaborations.

TQ and see again! :)
